About
Creative workshops on the beach/prom from 3pm, then the performance from 6.30pm.
Funded by Gwynt y Môr Community Fund (diolch / thank you!) and led by Dance Collective and Theatr Prysor, the Llys Helyg performance will be the striking culmination of weeks of school and public workshops.
On the day itself (working around a low tide at 4.28pm and high tide at 10.18pm - and the weather), we will be holding open workshops on the beach and prom from 3pm creating a 'sand castle' village to go with a giant sand castle built by an artist.
The performance area will be framed by around 100 Beach of Dreams pennants.
The live show itself will start around 6.30, featuring a specially composed soundscape score with acting scenes and dance . This will culminate in the grand feast at the end, where a Twmpath (like a Welsh Ceilidh) will feature live folk musicians, choreographed dance and audience participation. Towards the end of the feast, the tide will engulf the castle and village, set further back on the sands.
