About

This community festival and its parade are part of a much wider citizen science led programme by the River Char Action Group (https://www.riverchar.org/) who are determined to clean up the River Char and its estuary down by the beach.

Come and join us at the brilliant Charmouth Dragon River Festival and parade to raise awareness of the citizen science project led by the River Char Action Group.

As part of the Dragon River Festival, Dorset Coast Forum will have an exhibition stand to also raise awareness of the Future Coast Charmouth project, which aims to help communities plan and adapt in areas experiencing coastal erosion.

Add your own drawings and designs to our "big picture roll". What do you value about the marine environment, what inspires you, what memories do you have of the coastline at Charmouth? Draw what you love about Charmouth and what you see in this location. Your drawings will help create our submission for a Beach of Dreams pennant flag to be carried along the coast and be part of the procession in Weymouth in September.

Also, come and take our community survey to have your say in how the project progresses.

Address

St Andrews Community Hall Parade begins at the Charmouth recreation ground and then heads down through the village to the seafront.
