About

Project Wave welcomes the Beach of Dreams Silks to the town and seafront of Felixstowe for a day-long celebration of our beautiful coastline.

Felixstowe's Project Wave is a community engagement project created by the community for the community. Project Wave recognises the power of creative practise and community energy to uplift individuals and bring about positive change. It is an invitation to join the Beach of Dreams festival through creative and imaginative making on the beach inspiring us to think about our shared future.

Project Wave culminates with a day of celebration which will encourage our town and visitors to make a climate commitment with Beach of Dreams.

A creative program compliments the walking wave of Beach of Dreams Silks incorporating visual, written, spoken and physical expression as people get involved with the journey.

Along the walking wave’s route, join project WAVE for creative encounters on the beaches, featuring:

Sound-work by Adrian Wiggins AKA Sugardog Sound (Walking with project WAVE)

Photography with Cath Cartman (Between Bent Hill and Beach Street, 2pm)

Word and visual explorations with Katy Bentall (Cobbold Point, 12.30pm)

Film-making by Perran King (Walking with project WAVE)

Sand stories and object-work with Heidi Yeo (Cobbold Point, 12.30pm)

Song-work with Rabble Chorus (Landguard Fort, 6pm)
