This area is now part of the industrial area of Felixstowe serving the port but in the late 19C there was a brick works here. At Felixstowe Museum we celebrate our community - past, present and future using our collections as a guide. We have always turned to the land for shelter – caves, huts, buildings. Bricks have been used to build shelter in Felixstowe since Roman times and the architecture of modern Felixstowe is predominantly red brick
